“days and nights // nights and days
as flickering lights
coming from hollow shapes
as connected vessels, pushing forms
of never ending emptiness”
Throughout a decade Rico Casazza has developed a name with music that spans multiple genres. Diversity in music is his core. Nowadays he’s more known for his electro/IDM productions, but he’s also fond of techno, minimal, ambient, and electronica.
Although saying that an artist “does techno/electro/IDM” is something being heard thousands of times, Rico’s sound has a common characteristic recognised for recurring themes; to best describe it, it has to do with the nostalgic, melodic, ominous, deep music that brings you inside, yet is very energetic.
Having released about 19 EPs, 6 full albums, 15 remixes and more to come, composing music is his core force.
His carefully crafted sound has found home in Prague’s Moving Pictures label, in a form of a solid 4-tracker vinyl EP. Dive into its four chapters: “Emptiness Form” for a melancholic acid trip, “Ultramarine” for an aquatic techno-submarine immersion, or visit “Praslega” – an obscure yet lush sonic construction, along with “Jan25” – a mellow moody anthem.
